Tre Watson, of Springfield, already had active warrants for firearms charges out of Hampden Superior Court when police tracked him down, the department reports.
Officers arrested Watson after following the car in which he was a passenger from the Orange Street area to Canon Circle around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3.
Officers also seized crack-cocaine in the car as well as a pouch containing heroin and power cocaine that was attached to Watson's belt. Police also took $250 in cash, the department added.
Watson of Springfield was charged with the following:
- Carrying a Firearm without a License
- Springfield District Court Default Warrant
- Extortion
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Class A Drug
- Possession with the intent to Distribute a Class B Drug
- Possession with the intent to Distribute a Class B Drug
- Possession with the intent to Distribute a Class B Drug
